About

Dr Bob Boyle:

Dr Bob is the husband of one Mary Jo, father of two sons and two daughters, and “papa” to three beautiful grandchildren.  He recently moved to Chico, CA to be closer to his grandchildren.  He has been a licensed Clinical Psychologist for the past 35 years.  He has worked in various clinical settings, including an inpatient psychiatric hospital, inpatient and outpatient treatment program for adolescents and their families, and private practice.  He recently retired from being Staff Psychologist at an agency who works with the developmentally disabled.  He continues to practice psychology on a part-time basis doing Autism evaluations and various evaluations for the Courts.  Dr. Bob has also taught at the community college, undergraduate, and graduate levels.  He has facilitated and led leadership development trainings for non-profit and for profit companies.

One of the most enjoyable professional (and personal) experiences of the past has been collaborating with co-author Joe in developing and presenting trainings for individuals working for small companies, where the sharing of various and sundry “stories” (like the ones in this book) with a lesson had its humble beginning. In his spare time, Dr. Bob enjoys playing with his grandchildren, playing golf and pickleball, and homebrewing.

Joe Chimenti:

Joe is a husband and father of four sons. He grew up in a law enforcement family and began his professional life as a police officer. After earning his MBA, Joe left law enforcement and joined the private sector. He spent 25 years in business development working with entrepreneurial companies across North America and in Europe.

After retiring, Joe accepted the position as Executive Director of the Shasta Builders’ Exchange and the Trade School.  He understands the need for a skilled workforce and the importance of the construction industry to a thriving economy.

Joe also served as an elected official on the Shasta County Board of Supervisors in Redding, CA. His focus was on public safety, business development, and affordable housing. After serving his four-year term, Joe chose to re-join the private sector. He currently works with Emergent, an innovator in 3D concrete printing of homes, because of their mission to provide disaster resistant, climate resilient housing, and innovative trade training.
